Adam Streetom, a stiff farmer from Canmore, owns a chicken coop with one hundred chickens.
Among the chickens, there was a rooster with bright green eyes. A strange species, maybe the only exemplar in the world. It was a gift of a friend of his who didn’t want to have it in his chicken coop because he thought the rooster was not worthy to keep it. Instead, Adam took it because by his opinion it was a perfect leader. Also, he thought that the rooster would have been a good advertise to sell more eggs.
When Adam was a young boy, he didn’t like to eat chickens, but his father forced him to eat them. Even today he hates chicken meat.
He was use to sell the eggs in Canmore Market in Alberta’s region.
One day, collecting the eggs with surprise he noticed that there were 179 eggs instead of 200.
He counted the chickens and they were 91 instead of 100 chickens.
What happened to the other ones?
There were no holes in the fence, what happened?
He spent all day checking the chickens but nothing happened. Tired, he had dinner with vegetables then he went to bed.
The day after, he found a feather on the bed, he thought he had carried it the night before from the chicken coop.
That morning he didn’t feel to have breakfast, he went right away to check the chickens and, with his great surprise, he found out that there were 89 chickens.
He was desperate: there were no way for the chickens to get out, but, again, chickens were missing. Adam was so hungry that he hasn’t eaten for two days, but everyday there were less chickens inside the fence. Adam, tired about this issue, decided to get back to the city and to give up selling eggs.
He went to pick up the chickens in order to sell everything but with his surprise he was chased by the Green Eyed Rooster, who was trying to bite him. Suddenly he heard a voice: «Do not move.»
«Oh my God!» said Adam.
«You can talk!»
«No, I cannot talk. You can hear me.»
Adam said: «If you can speak to me, tell me…what happened to the chickens?»
«You ate them I had forced to eat them during the night»
Adam, very scared run away. He went to his house in the city and tired fell asleep.
When he woke up, in front of him there was the rooster who said: “I am your father”.
