“I have a dream” are the famous words that Martin Luther King pronounced, a person that fought for colour people rights during a speech in which he evoked the dream of a best society. However, what is a dream? The dream is a desire, something in which we believe and we hope to realize in the future. Dreams are the basis of a person’s future. All people have some dreams in the drawer and they imagine their own future, especially young people.
Locatelli’s institute aims to bring us closer to our passion more and more and to cultivate our dreams. So many times we, young students, stop thinking about what our future work and personal life will be. In our dreams there is a family, the idea of growing up children, teaching them the beauty of life, people’s respect, honesty, equality and the tolerance towards who is different from us or those who think differently.
I hope to be a free woman, able to fight for my ideals. I would like to find a job that gives me satisfactions, I would like to help people. For this I would like to work in psychology and education, all of this combined with what it has always countersigned my life and that it makes it better: dance. I will study in the sphere of dance therapy and my dream of helping others will become true. I want to work with children with different difficulties: autistic, disabled, motor difficulties, ill, with problems of integration into society and other pathologies.
In this great project there is also the dream of bringing this job overseas: after the experience in Tanzania and after becoming aware of how much I can help, I desire to continue this wonderful mission.
To make all of this come true, we must believe it until the end and this is what I will do. I believe that the only thing for which is worth living and dying is the privilege to make someone happier.
Surely my school has taught me so much, first of all to believe that “there is not objective more ambitious than to realize a dream” and I think that if I desire it, I want it and if I want it, I will get it!
