Flamenco is an expression of the sorrow of people held on margins of society and culturally oppressed, in it’s early stages flamenco was not put in writing.
The music was passed down from generation to generation orally, there are text on the art form that have been published before 1840. Flamenco took place in Andalucia in the early XV century between groups of Gypsies, Jews, Arabs and Spaniaros.
The flamenco brought a dynamic form of musical expression characterized by performing in a virtuos way.
Pure Flamenco was born with three different cultures and founded the “Cantee Jonoo”, which is considered the main repertoire of Flamenco.
The goal is to create the duende??, the spirit of music that manages to reach all audiences and to touch their hearts. The basic elements of Flamenco are singing (cante), dancing (baile), guitar (toque) and the beats of hands of public (jaleo). Flamenco is concentrated in three cities in Andalucia: Seville, Cadiz and Jerez de la Frontera.
