This summer I had the opportunity to make a survey about what English people think about Brexit. I interviewed about 20 people asking for their opinion about this controverse topic.
The result were quite surprising and quite different from what I (and I think all Italian people) believed.
Actually the majority of the interviewed think it isn’t useful for United Kingdom and they are scared about the future. In particular people between 30 and 60 are worried about future economy and travelling, especially for their sons.
They told me that even today some banks are leaving London, which will not be the economical centre in Europe anymore.
By the way, people over 60 agree in a positive way with Brexit, supporting by theory that there will be more control about immigration and more occupation for English citizens.
The younger are divided about this topic, infact someone thinks it could be a good change for the United Kingdom which would give them more job and more economical facilities. Someone is scared about travelling and exportation and foreign people contribute in social and economical life in England.
My survey was made on little numbers and of course 20 people can’t express the common thought in England, but it’s surprising discovering this division about Brexit, a political manoveur voted by the whole population, the same population which today is worried about the consequences of this “crazy decision”.
